We will be tasting & discussing the 2009 Valley Floor and the 2009 Orphan Bank Shiraz- so grab a bottle, taste along and join the conversation at Barossa HQ.
Langmeil Winery's commitment is not only shown in our dedication to the resurrection of our own Old Vine Gardens, but also visible in our support of our loyal growers who are custodians to some very special parcels of Barossa history. Site specific characteristics and micro-climates assist in creating the uniqueness of the Barossa's Old Vine Gardens and are highlighted in single vineyard wines. Regional Barossa blends from these old gardens provide the winemaking team with a cross section of developed flavour profiles to showcase.
Using techniques such as only gently destemming the hand harvested fruit rather than crushing, open fermentation and basket pressing, with completely no fining or filtration, Paul and team ensure the full potential of the fruit is captured with old fashioned minimal handling but labour intensive techniques.
This assortment of wines is our personal expression of the best of our Old Vine Garden fruit from our beloved Barossa, and we trust that you take as much pleasure in tasting, drinking and cellaring them as we do growing and making them.

Barossa HQ: Saltram
Join Saltram Winemaker Shavaughn Wells at Barossa HQ on Wednesday 14th March & chat live online. 7.30pm (Adelaide time).
Shavaughn will be tasting the 2008 Mamre Brook Cabernet Sauvignon.

Mamre Brook
William Salter purchased land near Angaston, some 80 kilometres away from Adelaide and moved there with his family in 1844. He then built a simple, plain fronted, six roomed house and kitchen with no previous building experience, naming it Mamre Brook, after the biblical home of Abraham.
Mamre Brook is one of the most famous places in the Barossa Valley and the wines featuring the grand old Mamre Brook house on the label are among Australia's favourites. The wines stand proud as a tribute to their heritage at the heart of the Barossa with all fruit sourced exclusively from this great region.
Traditionally sourcing fruit from the north-eastern side of the Barossa Valley, Saltram also sources fruit from the cooler, high altitudes of Eden Valley. Whether it is a delicate Riesling or the exceptional Shiraz or Cabernet Sauvignon, the Mamre Brook wines are characterised by their warmth and generosity, rich and mouth filling in the more traditional sense.

Barossa HQ: Barossa Flavours
Barossa Flavours
The Barossa already has a strong and established food identity. It speaks most profoundly of its Silesian and German heritage – artisan smallgoods, specialist bakers and an elderly – but highly productive! – community of home-cooks dedicated to the production of delicious pickles, jams and preserves. So far, so gemütlich!
But in truth, there lies in the Barossa a passion for food, flavours and hospitality that goes far beyond northern Europe, taking in all of the Mediterranean, and venturing as far east as Cambodia and Vietnam.
With food and flavours, it comes down to three things: passion for great, local ingredients; respect for inherited learning as well as a willingness to experiment; and, finally, a generous compulsion to share.
Come and taste the Barossa Flavours with us...
